Apogee Duetta Signature Speakers, LOCAL PICKUP ONLY !

I'm selling these to down size my complete audio system.
When setting up the Duetta Sigs in a room 16' x 15' with an 8' ceiling. I have them on the 15' wall 20" from the side walls and 36" from the rear. The distance between the left & right m/t ribbon sections are 7'. The tip back is 2.5" or 2.5 degrees. The toe in is 1/2". Listening position is 9'. What changes do I need to make to this basic configuration to achieve the best sound?

When auditioning them to a friend after listening for a few minutes he looked over and said to me "where are your rear
speakers" the sound stage just opens up to almost a surround sound atmosphere. This is truly astonishing when the speakers are in that "Sweet Spot"  placement. But you would have to find that with the size and dimensions of your room.
I am using an Adcom amp which provides 200watts at @ 4 ohms & 520 @ 2 ohms. I would try Krell with all it's power and compatibility with the Apogees, it's really a match made in Heaven.  I had a single run of bi-wire speaker wire to the back terminals. You could also run (2) mono amps to these to fine tune the frequencies.  There is an external crossover upgrade kit available from the (2) restorers down below for the caps, resistors & inductors but its something to consider. How much difference does the upgrade make? Is it worth the hassle of taking apart the speakers to install it? But for full restoration I would say
" Yes."
The speakers are not perfect a slight buzz will occur every once and a while on certain bass frequencies and also occasionally on some vocal passages, but these both occur infrequently.  This is due to the surrounds of the ribbons slightly deteriorating . These are very listenable right now but down the road if you want something special you would never regret it.
A full restoration is available from Rich Murray True Sound works Inc. Rich sells a finish product @ 17,000 ! but a restoration depending what you want replaced is about 00-00.

The speakers are boxed and sealed until to have them in your possession.
